Frequently Asked Questions
General Printing
Q: What’s the difference between screen printing and DTF printing?
A: Screen printing uses ink pressed through a stencil screen for bold, durable prints — best for larger runs. DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints full-color designs onto film, which is then heat-pressed to fabric. DTF is ideal for small runs, detailed artwork, or when you need lots of colors.
Q: Which printing method is best for my project?
A: If you want bold, durable prints in bulk (up to 4 colors), screen printing is best. If you need detailed designs, unlimited colors, or smaller quantities, DTF is a great option.
Q: Is there a minimum order quantity?
A: Screen printing typically has a minimum of [set your number — often 12 pieces], while DTF can be as low as 1 item. For business cards/flyers, minimums depend on the product.
Q: What’s your turnaround time?
A: Standard turnaround is usually 7–14 business days after artwork approval and payment. Rush options are available depending on the job.
Q: Can I mix different sizes (S, M, L, XL) in the same order?
A: Yes! As long as the design and print placement remain the same, you can mix sizes in one order.
Q: Do you offer rush orders?
A: Yes, rush service may be available depending on workload. Additional fees may apply.
Q: Do I need to provide the garments, or can you supply them?
A: We can supply quality blanks from trusted brands, or you’re welcome to bring your own (with approval).
Q: What file formats do you accept for artwork?
A: Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are preferred. High-resolution PNGs or PSDs also work for DTF. If you’re unsure, send what you have and we’ll guide you.
Q: Do you provide design help if I don’t have artwork ready?
A: Yes! We can assist with basic design adjustments or full custom artwork depending on your needs.
Q: How do I get a quote?
A: You can request a quote by sending us your design, garment type, quantity, and print method. We’ll get back to you quickly with pricing.
Screen Printing
Q: What’s the maximum number of colors you can print?
A: We currently offer up to 4 colors per design.
Q: Can you print full-color photos with screen printing?
A: Not with our setup. For detailed or photo-realistic images, DTF printing is the better choice.
Q: What’s the difference between plastisol and water-based inks?
A: Plastisol ink sits on top of the fabric for a vibrant look, while water-based ink soaks in for a softer feel. We’ll recommend the best option for your project.
Q: Can you print on dark garments?
A: Yes! We use underbase layers and the right ink to make designs pop on dark fabrics.
Q: How long do screen-printed designs last?
A: With proper care (wash cold, inside out, low heat dry), screen prints can last the lifetime of the garment.
DTF Printing
Q: What is DTF printing?
A: DTF stands for Direct-to-Film printing. Your design is printed onto a film, then heat-pressed to the garment, allowing for full-color prints on almost any fabric.
Q: Can DTF prints go on any fabric?
A: Yes, cotton, polyester, blends, and more.
Q: How durable are DTF prints compared to screen printing?
A: Both methods are very durable. DTF holds up great to washing when cared for properly, though screen printing may outlast it for heavy use.
Q: Do DTF prints crack or peel?
A: No, when properly applied and cared for, DTF prints remain flexible and don’t crack or peel easily.
Q: Can you do small runs or single items with DTF?
A: Yes! That’s one of the biggest benefits of DTF, perfect for samples or custom one-offs.
